Northwest Tahoe, California

Northwest Lake Tahoe offers residents the perfect blend of peaceful living with urban excitement. Compared to other ski resort communities such as Aspen, Jackson Hole and Vail, homes in Lake Tahoe are nearly half as expensive while offering many of the same recreational opportunities. There is one major difference, however; in Tahoe, the lake itself is also a major attraction and one that can be enjoyed year round. From boating, fishing and waterskiing to sun bathing and many other beach front activities, the lake helps draw visitors to its waters throughout the year.

Tourism

The tourists have made a tremendous impact on the local economy and since residential and commercial development here is in an environmentally sensitive area, growth is limited, property is at a premium and hence, always in demand.
